Meet Lori Dowdy

The Bartow-Cartersville Joint Development Authority is pleased to announce that Ms. Lori Dowdy has been named Operations Manager of the Cartersville-Bartow County Department of Economic Development.  Lori brings 20 years of combined experience in Human Resources primarily in Talent Acquisition and P & C Insurance as a Licensed Insurance Agent.

The Bartow County native is a graduate of Shorter University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services and obtained her Master’s Degree in Human Services – Executive Leadership from Liberty University.  She and her husband Kenneth have three children, Breanna (15), MaKayla (13), Ashlyn (9), and they reside in Taylorsville. Lori and her family are members of Grace Baptist Church where she also volunteers with the Children’s Ministry.
