The Cartersville‐Bartow County Department of Economic Development presented its 2012 Annual Report today and some of the highlights include:

• Overview of Department and Departmental goals

• 2012 Notable Events such as:
  o Bus tours of International VIPs and Statewide Project Managers,
  o Southeast US/Japan Conference in Japan,
  o GA Highlands Student Center Ground Breaking,
  o Manufacturer of the Year Award to ATR,
  o LakePoint Sporting Community & Town Center Ground Breaking,
  o Cartersville Medical Center Ground Breaking,
  o voestalpine Automotive Body Parts, Inc. MOU Signing and Ground Breaking, and
  o Bass Pro Shops MOU Signing.

2012 saw 19 Projects including existing industry expansions and new companies to Bartow County. These projects are worth an estimated $832,500,000 and will create 1,698 long‐term temporary and permanent jobs.
