The Georgia Department of Labor offers many services to individuals and employers alike, both at the state level and through the Cartersville Career Center.

There are over 30 colleges in a 40-mile radius, including Chattahoochee Technical College, and Georgia Highlands College that each have campuses in Cartersville-Bartow County.
In addition to the 45 plus programs of study, Chattahoochee Technical College provides non-credit options to some of the leading industries in this area, including specialized training in industrial and technical systems, erosion and sediment compliance, leadership and sales development, OSHA safety, computer software, CPR/First Aid, food management, mine safety, paralegal studies, healthcare and Lean Six Sigma. Chattahoochee Technical College provides quality assessment tools to employers and designs coursework to specifically meet those identified needs. In addition to online options, customized training can be developed to business and industry either onsite or at one Chattahoochee Technical College’s eight locations.
Georgia Highlands College, is more that just a regional institution for the University System of Georgia. It also has an extensive Continuing Education division to serve the needs of business and industry.
