Georgia Quick Start

Quick Start is Georgia's internationally acclaimed workforce development program that provides training to qualifed new, expanding and exisitng businesses.  For more than 40 years, Quick Start has provided customized workforce training free-of-charge to qualified businesses in Georgia.  Today, the program is one of the state’s key assets for supporting new and expanding industries. Quick Start delivers training in classrooms, mobile labs or directly on the plant floor, wherever it works best for a company.
 

Recent Quick Start Clients in Bartow County include: Zep/Enforcer Products, Gerdau, voestalpine and Toyo Tire NA.

Area Colleges and Universities

There are over 50 colleges in a 60-mile radius, including Chattahoochee Technical College, and Georgia Highlands College that each have campuses in Cartersville-Bartow County.

In addition to the 45 plus programs of study, Chattahoochee Technical College provides non-credit options to some of the leading industries in this area, including specialized training in industrial and technical systems, erosion and sediment compliance, leadership and sales development, OSHA safety, computer software, CPR/First Aid, food management, mine safety, paralegal studies, healthcare and Lean Six Sigma. Chattahoochee Technical College provides quality assessment tools to employers and designs coursework to specifically meet those identified needs. In addition to online options, customized training can be developed to business and industry either onsite or at one Chattahoochee Technical College’s eight locations.

Georgia Highlands College, is more that just a regional institution for the University System of Georgia.  It also has an extensive Continuing Education division to serve the needs of business and industry.

Bartow County College & Career Academy (BCCCA)

The BCCCA's Initial programs of study or "Pathways", and the curriculum for each, was developed with extensive input from Bartow County employers by way of a Workforce Needs Assessement.  Pathways such as Engineering, Health Care, Public Safety, and Marketing were strategically selected to meet the needs communicated by employers.
