HEALTHCARE
Cartersville Medical Center broke ground in late 2012 for a $30 million plus expansion project. With this expansion the Emergency Department has a total of 30 rooms and a second CT Scanner. A 20-bed specialized inpatient care unit for orthopedic and neurologic conditions, new main entrance and lobby as well as new exterior signage and facade was completed in 2014.
Cartersville Medical currently operates a 112-bed acute care hospital, Accredited Chest Pain Center, Certified Primary Stroke Center and Gold Seal Inpatient Diabetes programs accredited by the Joint Commission. The Women’s Center provides mammography services that are gold seal accredited by the American College of Radiology. The Hope Center, a regional, Commission on Cancer approved cancer treatment facility, is conveniently located on the hospital campus and provides over 4,000 treatments with over 300 new patients per year from a ten county region.
