Labor Force
The labor force available to companies doing business in Bartow County extends beyond our borders into the northern arc of the Atlanta Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) as well as into our neighboring counties in northwestern Georgia. The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) definition of Bartow County's Labor Draw Area (LDA) includes Bartow and its seven contiguous counties.
UNEMPLOYMENT RATES (GDOL not seasonally adjusted)
Bartow's LDA labor force (based on place of residence and persons 16 years and older) is 791,551 as of January 2021, of those 32,501 are unemployed and actively seeking employment.
